Cathy Nichols: California, United States; Cathy Nichols has from Laguna College of Art and Design. She has a passion for layout and background design/ painting including excellent skills in traditional and 3D animation. Cathy’s work is inspired by the ‘Second Golden Age’ films that came out of the Walt Disney Studios and Saturday morning cartoons. Ever since Cathy was young, she was entranced by the magic of animation that inspired her to where she is today. This summer Cathy had the opportunity through her internship at MacGillvray Freeman Films to co-direct an award winning short film The Ocean We Want to Know. Cathy has also help complete a short film, Attack of the 50-foot Hero, from start to finish with the collaboration of fifteen other students under the direction of Eric Goldberg.
